Well, now, the Japanese automaker’s new seven-seater SUV has officially made local landfall, with Mitsubishi announcing pricing and specs for the latest member in its SA product portfolio.

The Destinator is available with the choice of two trim levels: GLS and Exceed. The opening gambit to the line-up, the GLS derivative ships with 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment, a six-speed audio system, and a rear-view camera setup and aft park distance sensors. GLS spec features fabric interior upholstery.

Spearheading the range, Exceed grade upgrades to a larger, 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, 8.0-inch digital driver’s display, a six-speaker Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium sound system, and a multi-view surround camera array. Exceed spec also gains keyless entry, cruise control, a wireless smartphone charging tray, a panoramic sunroof, an electrically operated tailgate, tyre pressure monitoring, and an array of driver assistance systems. The latter includes blind-spot monitoring, lane change assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. Exceed spec features leather upholstery for the pews.
