Mazda CX-30 handed updates for 2024: Here’s what you can expect

Now dubbed ‘Edition’ (in addition to the former trim denominations), the Mazda CX-30 line-up has been handed a variety of upgrades. Here’s what you can expect…

Mazda CX-30 Edition: Specifications

As standard, the CX-30 line-up’s standard-specification list comprises a host of equipment, which included a head-up display. However, for the updated models, Mazda says “carefully selected” features have been added to each trim grade. For example, Active and Dynamic levels of specification now feature a 10.25-inch infotainment display, which incorporates Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, and a duo of USB-C ports. On top of these items, the Dynamic has gained wireless smartphone charging, front park distance sensors, daytime-running lights, and 18-inch alloy wheels. The updated Carbon Edition now features a sunroof and electrically operated tailgate, while the range-topping, Individual model features 18-inch alloy wheels, finished in black metallic, black side mirrors, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and suede and leatherette seat trim.

Mazda CX-30 Edition: Engine

A single engine option is employed across the range. The powertrain comes in the shape of the company’s 2.0-litre, naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol unit, which produces 121 kW and 213 N.m of torque, exclusively sent to the front axle via a six-speed automatic transmission. According to the firm, this powertrain sips, on average, 6.6 L/100 km, which, when matching this figure, allows for a range of 773 km from the 51-litre fuel tank.

How much does the Mazda CX-30 Editions cost in South Africa?
