SA-only Range Rover SV Polar Night unveiled

Limited to just five examples, and exclusively available in South Africa, Land Rover has announced the Range Rover SV Polar Night for Mzansi. Here’s everything you need to know about this ultra-limited luxury SUV.

Land Rover has introduced some exquisite limited-edition versions of the flagship Range Rover. Now, the British marque’s local arm has announced the introduction of the Range Rover SV Polar Night to Mzansi…and it will only be available here.

How much does the Range Rover SV Polar Night cost in South Africa?

The Range Rover SV Polar Night is priced from R6 521 929, making it around R1 million more expensive than the “standard” model it is based on and around R800 000 more expensive than the Range Rover SV Black. Included in the asking price are a five-year/100 000 km maintenance plan and a warranty spanning the same duration and distance.

So, what does the Polar Night package include? Well, for starters, the exterior is finished in a unique body hue, dubbed Spectral Light Blue Gloss. The bespoke paintwork is highlighted by a contrast black roof and gloss black wing mirror housings, while the ‘Range Rover’ script is finished in “striking” Black Chrome. Graphite Atlas and Anthracite finishes are also present.

The Range Rover SV Polar Night is fitted with a set of 23-inch forged alloy wheels, finished in dual-tone Satin Dark Grey and Black, and featuring body-coloured inserts. The brake callipers are finished in black.

The ‘twilight’ theme is carried over to the interior, which features perforated, two-tone Liberty Blue and Ebony leather seats. Ebony Black leather trim has also been applied to several interior surfaces, as well as the carpets.

Standard items include the automaker’s Body-And-Sould-Seat (BASS) technology, which was designed to create an expansive and immersive audio experience via incorporating haptic feedback through the seats and floor mats. Touchscreen infotainment is also present, as is a wireless smartphone charging bay, four-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, and a 3D surround-view camera system, to name but a few items.

Exclusively available in long-wheelbase format, the Range Rover SV Polar Night is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol, which produces 452 kW and 750 N.m of torque.

“The Range Rover SV Polar Night is a testament to our commitment to creating the most exclusive and luxurious vehicles. We are thrilled to offer this limited-edition model to our customers in South Africa. Its unique design and bespoke features, combined with Range Rover’s legendary capability, make it an exceptional and highly desirable vehicle,” said Irene Kakooza, Range Rover Brand Manager, South Africa.
