Sporting the French firm’s new emblem, the updated Peugeot Landtrek model line-up has been revealed, with the refreshed model sporting several subtle cosmetic upgrades. Here’s what you can expect…
Starting with the exterior updates, the Landtrek sports a revised front grille, gloss-black fog lamp bezels, and a new rear bumper, which features updated “Peugeot” lettering. The interior features a 10-inch, touch-enabled infotainment system, which incorporates Apple CarPlay and Android Auto screen mirroring.
The revised Landtrek will be available with the choice of two (market-dependent) engine options, a 1.9-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged diesel unit and a (154 kW/320 N.m) 2.4-litre turbocharged petrol powertrain with the same number of cylinders. As a reminder, locally, the current Landtrek line-up is exclusively available with the former engine, which churns out 110 kW and 350 N.m of torque, the latter of which is available from 1 800 r/min to 2 800 r/min.
As such, when the refreshed Landtrek arrives in South Africa (the introduction date has yet to be confirmed, however), we expect the 1.9-litre oil-burner — which can be had with a six-speed manual gearbox and automatic transmission with the same number of cogs — will again do duty in the French firm’s local Landtrek model range. Rear- and four-wheel-drive, including for low range, drivetrains are also available.

The 4×4 derivatives, which features a low-range transfer case for when venturing off the beaten track gets especially tough, offers a water-wading depth of up to 600 mm. Models fitted with 16-inch wheels offer 214 mm of ground clearance, while variants sitting on 17- or 18-inch wheels offer a maximum ground clearance of 235 mm. Depending on the model, the approach and departure angles are 29 degrees or 30 degrees and 27 or 26 degrees, respectively. The rated break-over angle is 25 degrees. The Landtrek offers a payload capacity of up to 1 400 kg and a braked towing capacity of up to 3 000 kg.
(As a reminder, the local pre-facelifted Landtrek double-cab range, which comprises a quartet of derivatives, is priced from R454 900 to R719 900. The sole single-cab model in the line-up is priced from R388 900.)
