Porsche has whipped the wraps off the updated, 992.2-generation 911 Carrera S Coupé and Cabriolet. Here’s what you can expect, including pricing and spec…
As before, a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six is sited behind the 911 Carrera S’s aft axle. However, for the 992.2-generation model, the rear-mounted, horizontally-opposed unit has been “fundamentally upgraded” to produce a peak power output of 353 kW (an increase of 22 kW over the 992.1 iteration). Among the revisions made to the petrol powertrain, to achieve the latter, Porsche has fitted the engine with new turbochargers. Twisting force has remained the same, with a healthy 530 N.m of torque sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
According to the Stuttgart-based brand, thanks to these updates, the 911 Carrera S Coupé and Cabriolet now complete the obligatory 0-100 km/h sprint in 3.5 seconds and 3.7 seconds, respectively. However, specifying the Sport Chrono Package shaves two-tenths of a second off the former and latter figures. The result, a whip-crack 3.3 seconds and 3.5 seconds.
In addition, Porsche claims 0-200 km/h times of 11.9 seconds 12.6 seconds for the 911 Carrera S Coupé and Cabriolet, with the fitment of the Sport Chrono Package improving these figures to 11.6 seconds and 12.3 seconds. The top speed is rated at 308 km/h.

The refreshed 911 Carrera S models are brought to a halt by a brand-new braking system. The setup features 408 mm front and 380 mm brake discs. Carbon-ceramic units are available as an option. As standard, the callipers are finished in red.
In addition to the aforementioned items, the list of standard specification includes 20-inch fore and 21-inch aft ‘Carrera S’ wheels; a sports exhaust system, replete with silver-coloured tailpipes; and Porsche’s Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+) system. Optional fitment include Porsche’s PASM sports suspension, which lowers the car’s ride height by 10 mm and is combined with rear-wheel steering.
