The ‘Stealth’ nameplate has been reintroduced to Nissan South Africa’s Navara porfolio. Here’s what you can expect from the latest addition to the Japanese automaker’s local double-cab bakkie line-up.
Bookended by the LE and PRO-4X, the former of which it is based, the Nissan Navara Stealth is exclusively equipped with the Japanese firm’s tried-and-tested 2.5-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged oil-burner and a seven-speed automatic cog swapper. As a reminder, the 2.5 DDTi unit churns out 140 kW and 450 N.m of torque, the latter available from 2 000 r/min. The Navara Stealth can be had with a 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrain.
Bar the addition of several model-specific exterior design appointments, which include a new nudge bar, sports bar and 17-inch alloy wheels, and black finishes for a variety of items, including the latter, the Stealth also gains updated dampers.
Stepping inside, the seats are trimmed in leather. Convenience items include Apple CarPlay/Android Auto-enabled touchscreen infotainment, which relays tuned via a six-speaker audio system.

How much does the new Nissan Navara Stealth cost in South Africa?
The new Nissan Navara Stealth is priced from R695 200, which includes a six-year/150 000 km warranty and a service plan spanning six years or 90 000 km.

“The Navara Stealth again demonstrates Nissan’s long-term dedication to the African market,” said Jordi Vila, President of Nissan Africa. “Joining the Warrior and PRO-4X, the Stealth’s launch represents another milestone in the roll-out of a strong pipeline of products tailored for African customers.”
“Ultimately, Africa remains a bakkie-forward continent, with an evolving demand for tough 4x4s and 4x2s that can withstand even the most extreme road conditions […] the Stealth represents our commitment to meeting customers’ requirements at every turn.”
Added Maciej Klenkiewicz, Country Director for Nissan South Africa and Independent Markets Africa (IMA), “Despite its name, the Stealth isn’t subtle or quiet by any means. Although it trades the striking chrome of the Navara for a bold matte and gloss black accents, its road presence is far too daring to miss.”
