Lamborghini has whipped the wraps off the Fenomeno, the most powerful model the Italian automaker has ever created. Only 29 exampled will be made…
Lamborghini’s ‘few-offs’ programme has birthed several spectacular Raging Bulls — the latter including the Reventón, Sesto Elemento, Veneno, Centenario, Sián FKP 37 and Countach LPI 800-4. Designed to map out the future of the firm’s hypercars, the Fenomeno has now joined this illustrious lineup of Lamborghinis.
The Fenomeno (or ‘phenomenon’ if your Italian is a bit rusty) shares its underpinnings with the Revuelto and employs the same 6.5-litre V12 petrol-electric powertrain. However, for its latest limited edition, the Sant’Agata Bolognese brand has handed the naturally aspirated ICE an injection of power. The introduction of a larger, 7 kWh lithium-ion battery not only lifts peak power further but also improves the hybrid setup’s EV-only operating range.

According to Lamborghini, the Fenomeno’s combined system output of 794 kW allows it to complete the 0-100 km/h dash in just 2.4 seconds, making it one-tenth of second quicker to the one-tonne than the 746 kW hypercar it is based on. The Fenomeno tops out at 350 km/h.
Lamborghini will build a limited number of just 29 Fenomenos, with each example commanding a starting price of around $3.5 million. At the current Rand-Dollar exchange rate, the latter figure translates to around an eye-widening R61 million.
