Alfa Romeo has revealed what it describes as the most extreme Quadrifoglio model it has ever produced, with the Italian marque whipping the wraps off the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa.
Recently, Alfa Romeo whipped the wraps off a duo of limited-edition Quadrifoglio models, the Giulia Quadrifoglio Collezione and Stelvio Quadrifoglio Collezione. Now, the Italian marque has revealed yet another special edition … and it comes in the shape of the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa. Only 10 examples of this model, each of which has already been spoken for, will be made.
Touted as the most extreme Alfa Romeo to wear the Quadrifoglio badge, the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa features a raft of model-specific elements, the most notable of which is perhaps its massive dual-profile rear wing. The latter item forms part of the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa’s newly developed, bespoke carbon-fibre body kit, which further includes unique front bumper appointments and dedicated side skirts.
According to the Turin carmaker, these elements contribute to making the limited edition the most aerodynamically efficient Quadrifoglio model it has ever created. At 300 km/h, the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa’s top speed (the standard model tops out at 307 km/h), it produces 140 kg of downforce.

Alfa Romeo has yet to announce just how quick the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa completes the obligatory 0-100 km/h sprint. (The standard Giulia Quadrifoglio dispatches the obligatory 0-100 km/h dash in a claimed time of 3.9 seconds.)
Alfa Romeo hasn’t fettled with the 2.9-litre V6 twin-turbocharged petrol powertrain — the latter still producing a healthy 375 kW and 600 N.m of torque, available from 6 500 r/min and 2 500 r/min, respectively. Power is delivered to the road via a rear-wheel-drive setup, coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Providing the V6 soundtrack is a standard-fitment Akrapovič exhaust system.
Visually, the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa is further distinguished from its stablemates with the fitment of 19-inch alloy wheels, finished in grey and red, and the addition of Luna Rossa-specific exterior graphics and red Alfa Romeo badges, front and rear. The latter is carried over to the steering wheel. Model-specific Sparco bucket seats are also present.
