BMW has whipped the wraps off the M3 CS Touring … and it is coming to Mzansi! Here’s what you can expect…

When will the BMW M3 CS Touring launch in South Africa?
The local arm of the Bavarian brand has confirmed the M3 CS Touring will launch in Mzansi in the first quarter of 2026.
BMW M3 Competition Touring vs BMW M3 CS Touring
The most notable difference between the standard (if there exists such a thing, really) M3 Touring and M3 CS Touring is the peak power outputs of each — 390 kW and 405 kW for the former and latter models, respectively. Torque has remained untouched, however, with both models sending a healthy 650 N.m to all four corners via the Munich-based manufacturer’s eight-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission. However, those with a keen eye may have noticed the CS-badged model’s twisting force is available in a broader swathe of the rev band.
Thanks to the injection of power and weight-saving measures, which includes the use of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) elements, the (1 925 kg, claimed) M3 CS Touring completes the obligatory 0-100 km/h dash in a claimed 3.5 seconds, one-tenth of a second quicker than the non-CS-badged variant. In addition, in the 0-200 km/h acceleration stakes, the special edition is 1.2 seconds quicker to the two-tonne marker, before topping out at 300 km/h.
