The Ford Transit Custom Sport SWB panel van is exclusively equipped with the Blue Oval brand’s 2.0-litre single-turbo oil-burner. The four-cylinder unit churns out 125 kW and 390 N.m of twisting force, the latter of which is available from 1 750 r/min to 2 500 r/min. Drive is sent to the front axle via an eight-speed automatic cog swapper. Ford claims the 125 kW unit sips, on average, 8.0 L/100 km.
As a reminder, the Transit Custom is also available in long-wheelbase (LWB) panel-van guise. This model employs a 100 kW/360 N.m version of the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbodiesel powertrain and is equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox. The LWB derivative has a claimed average fuel consumption of 8.2 L/100 km.
