The hybrid Chery Tiggo Cross has arrived in South Africa. Here’s how much you can expect to pay for the newcomer.
In mid-June 2025, Chery South Africa introduced a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant of the Tiggo 7 to Mzansi. However, that wasn’t the only new-energy vehicle (NEV) the Chinese marque launched locally. Meet the Tiggo Cross CSH (Chery Super Hybrid).
Priced from R439 900, the newcomer can be had with the choice of two trim grades: Comfort and Elite. As standard, both models ship with LED headlamps, replete with daytime-running lights, a “sporty” rear spoiler, and model-specific 17-inch alloy wheels.
Stepping inside via standard-fitment keyless entry, the hybrid model features a dual-screen layout, comprising a 10.25-inch digital instrument binnacle and touch-enabled infotainment display of similar size. The latter setup incorporates Apple CarPlay/Android Auto screen mirroring and Bluetooth connectivity, and relays music through a four-speaker audio system in the Comfort model and a six-speaker unit in the Elite variant. Wireless smartphone charging and dual-zone climate control, replete with rear air vents, are also included in Comfort and Elite level of specification as standard. Flagship trim also upgrades to a 360-degree surround view camera (Comfort features a reverse-view camera array).
In addition to these items, Elite spec gains a panoramic sunroof and a suite of advanced driver assistance (ADAS) and safety systems. This includes adaptive cruise control, blind-spot detection, lane departure warning and assist, front collision warning, automatic braking, and rear cross traffic alert.
The new-energy Tiggo Cross’ traditional hybrid powertrain comprises a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol unit and an electric motor, which produces a combined system output of 150 kW and 310 N.m of torque. Chery claims the petrol-electric sips an average of 5.4 L/100 km.

How much does the Chery Tiggo Cross CHS HEV cost in South Africa?
