The new Porsche 911 S/T is a limited-edition purist’s dream

Porsche just announced a new limited-edition 911 that’s sure to get the hearts of driving enthusiasts racing. And also, their bank accounts QUIVERING. The 911 S/T is a lightweight, manual-only version of the 911 GT3 RS, and it’s packed with features that are designed to deliver maximum driving enjoyment.

Starting with the engine, the 911 S/T gets the same 4.0-liter, naturally aspirated boxer engine as the GT3 RS. But instead of the PDK dual-clutch transmission, the S/T comes with a six-speed manual. This gives the car a more direct and engaging driving experience, and it’s sure to put a smile on the face of any driver who loves to row their own gears.

To save weight, the 911 S/T gets a number of lightweight components, including a carbon fiber roof, front fenders, and doors. It also gets magnesium wheels and a lithium-ion battery. The result is a curb weight of just 1,380 kilograms, which is 40 kilograms lighter than a manual 911 GT3 Touring.

The 911 S/T also gets a number of chassis and suspension upgrades that are designed to improve its handling. These include a shorter gear ratio for the manual transmission, a stiffer rear axle, and a Gurney flap on the rear spoiler.

As you might expect, the 911 S/T is no slouch in the performance department. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 300 kilometers per hour.
But the 911 S/T is more than just a straight-line monster. It’s also a capable track car, thanks to its lightweight construction and well-sorted chassis.

If you’re looking for a 911 that’s all about driving enjoyment, the 911 S/T is the perfect car for you. It’s a limited-edition model, so you’ll have to act fast if you want to get your hands on one.

The 5 Year Base price of the 911S/T is R6,326,000
