MINI Aceman confirmed for SA

Box-fresh, all-electric; MINI has unwrapped the Aceman. Scheduled to arrive in South Africa by the end of 2024, here’s what you can expect from the latest model in the British marque’s portfolio.

So, where does the Aceman fit in the MINI linep-up. Well, it is positioned between the Cooper and Countryman. The Aceman measures 1 514 mm in height, 1 754 mm in width, and 4 070 mm in length. Just like its siblings, the Aceman remains true to MINI’s modern styling, not only in its overall design, but also the unique elements, outside and in.

The newcomer will be available with the option of two output levels, indicated by “E” and “SE”. The 135 kW/290 N.m E sports a 42.5 kWh battery pack, which, when fully charged, allows for an all-electric range of 310 km. According to MINI, this model completes the obligatory 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.9 seconds, with the top speed coming in at 160 km/h. The SE’s electric motor, which is coupled with a 54.2 kWh batter, produces 160 kW and 330 Nm for a claimed 0-100 km/h sprint time in 7.1 seconds. The SE has a claimed range of 406 km.
