Suzuki Auto South Africa has handed the new Dzire budget-oriented sedan a choice update in the form of black interior upholstery across the model line-up.
Launched in Mzansi in May 2025, the new-generation Suzuki Dzire aimed to build upon the value-oriented provisos of its predecessor. Now, the local arm of the Japanese automaker has decided to replace the previous beige cabin material trim with more sophisticated black upholstery. According to the brand, the introduction of the latter brings several real-world advantages, including an upmarket look and feel, and longevity.

How much does the new Suzuki Dzire cost in South Africa
Although having received fresh trim for the interior, pricing for the new Suzuki Dzire model line-up remains unchanged, with the range kicking off at R229 900 for the entry-level, GA spec derivative to R272 900 for the GL+ range-topper equipped with a CVT transmission. Positioned between the former and latter, the GL+ derivative with a five-speed manual gearbox will set you back R252 900. As standard, each model ships with a five-year/200 000 km promotional warranty and a service plan spanning four years or 60 000 km.
- Suzuki Dzire GA MT — R229 900
- Suzuki Dzire GL+ MT — R252 900
- Suzuki Dzire GL+ CVT — R272 900
As a reminder, the carmaker’s bang-for-your-buck compact sedan employs the same engine as its Swift sibling — Suzuki’s 1.2-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol unit. The Z12E powertrain produces 60 kW and 112 N.m of torque, the former and latter available from 5 700 r/min and 4 300 r/min, respectively. Power is exclusively delivered to the road via the front wheels. The manufacturer claims average fuel consumption figures of 4.4 L/100 km and 4.5 L/100 km for the five-speed manual- and CVT-equipped models. Matching the company’s claim translates to driving ranges of over 840 km and 820 km for the former and latter, respectively.
As standard, all trim grades feature such safety items as six airbags, Isofix child-set anchorage points, ABS with EBD, and ESP. Noteworthy, the Dzire was awarded the full complement of five stars at a Global NCAP safety test earlier in this year in India.
